Other teams playing on Sunday are Liberty and UMBC at UMBC in Baltimore, Maryland at 2 p.m. On Saturday (March 25) Furman plays at Campbell at 2 p.m. and Saint Peter's plays at Texas State at 5 p.m. The winners of these games will advance to the semifinals which will be held Wednesday, March 29 at 7 and 9 p.m. live on the CBS Sports Network.
SCOUTING THE ISLANDERS
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (22-11) finished tied for second in the Southland Conference this season. The Islanders won their first round Southland Tournament contest 77-69 against Stephen F. Austin before falling 68-65 to New Orleans. They ranked first in the conference for steals (8.88 per game) and field goal percentage (46.6 percent). Senior Rashawn Thomas leads the conference in scoring (22.4 per game) and rebounding (8.6 per game).
SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
The Mastodons (20-12) enter Sunday's game with four Mastodons scoring in double-digits. Mo Evans leads the team (16.8), followed by Bryson Scott (16.4), John Konchar (15.1) and Kason Harrell (10.8).
THE SERIES
The two teams have met seven times with six of the meetings coming between 2003 and 2006 before Fort Wayne entered the Summit League. The last meeting came Nov. 15, 2013 in Corpus Christi. It was a 72-71 loss. The Islanders hold a 5-2 edge in the series and have won the last three meetings. Fort Wayne's last win in the series came Feb. 21, 2005 77-69 in Fort Wayne.
LAST TIME OUT
The Mastodons defeated the Ball State Cardinals 88-80 in the first round of the CIT (March 15). Brent Calhoun led the team with 27 points, marking a career-high. He earned MVP honors for his effort. Mo Evans recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 assists.

Mo Evans ranks second all-time in career assists in program history with 463. He will finish in second place as the all-time leader in assists in Fort Wayne history is Lawrence Jordan (1985-86, 87-90). Jordan recorded 913.
SENSATIONAL SENIOR
Senior Brent Calhoun is making his senior year his best. He is averaging 9.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. Each are on pace to be career bests. He has scored in double-digits in each of the last seven games. It is the longest stretch of his career. He is averaging 16.3 points per game in the stretch and had a career-high 27 points against Ball State (March 15) giving him the MVP for the Lou Henson Classic.
JOHNNY ON THE SPOT
John Konchar is shooting 64.3 percent on the season, sixth best in the nation. He is 184-of-286 on the season.
