JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Fort Wayne women's golf team carded a team score of 350 to finish the opening day of the Bulldog Florida Invitational in ninth place.
Host by Butler at the par-72, 6,003-yard Windsor Parke Golf Club, Stetson holds a four-stroke lead heading into the final round with a 310. Three players are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 3-over-par 75.
The Mastodons are led by Madison Chesnutt and Abigail Carlsen with scores of 85 to tie for 30th overall. Paige Bird and Monica Dorner are tied for 46th with rounds of 90 on the day. Jenna Kurosky rounded out the team scoring for the 'Dons in a tie for 50th with a 92.
Playing as individuals, Linnzie Richner is tied for 46th shooting a 90 while Candi Keller carded a 92 to finish the day in a tie for 50th.
The final round of the Bulldog Florida Invitational will take place tomorrow, March 9.
