Anderson Shoots Even Par During Second Round of MAC Fall Preview

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. - Holly Anderson carded an even-par 72 during the second round of the MAC Fall Preview to lead the Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team during the first day. The Mastodons carded identical rounds of 313 to finish day one in 12th place with a 626.
The tournament is being hosted by Central Michigan at the par-72, 5,991-yard Purgatory Golf Club. Toledo holds a one shot lead with a 36-hole score of 574. Natcha Daengpiem also of Toledo leads the individual standings with a 7-under-par 137.
Anderson finished the day tied for 10th place with a 2-over-par 146. She carded six birdies on the day, four of which came during her second-round 72. Her 72 is tied for the second lowest round in program history. Emma Schroeder carded rounds of 81 and 76, finishing the day in a tie for 48th with a 157. She also finished with six birdies for the day. Two shots back in a tie for 57th is Linnzie Richner. She carded three birdies during the opening round, shooting scores of 77 and 82. Paige Bird recorded a pair of birdies in each round to shoot scores of 83 and 84, finishing the day in 70th place with a 167. Abigail Carlsen carded an 81 during the opening round, but was unable to compete during the second round.
The Mastodons have a trio of individuals competing in the tournament. Sarah Lewis is in a tie for 48th place with a 157, after shooting rounds of 80 and 77 with four birdies. One shot separates Kennedy Brooker and Mackenzi Black. Brooker had three birdies on the day, en route to shooting a 165 (82-83) and finish in 68th place. In 69th place, Black recorded scored of 87 and 79.
The final round of the MAC Fall Preview begins tomorrow, October 15, at 9 a.m.
