Fall Season Closes With Anderson Setting New 54 Hole Record

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. - Records continue to fall for Holly Anderson, as she set a new Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf record for 54-hole score on the final day of the MAC Fall Preview. The Mastodons concluded their fall schedule with a 326 for the day to place 12th with a two-day score of 952.
Hosted by Central Michigan at the par-72 Purgatory Golf Club, the tournament course was played at 5,991 yards. Xavier captured the team title with a 54-hole score of 883. Natcha Daengpiem from Toledo earned the medalist honors with a 4-under-par 212.
Anderson's two-day score of 221 sets a new 54-hole mark by six strokes, breaking the old record of 227 she had tied earlier this season. She carded a 75 during the final round, which included a pair of birdies, as she tied for sixth place. Anderson finished the tournament with the lowest average par-3 score among all players.
Emma Schroeder carded a final-round 87 to tie for 61st place with a two-day score of 244. In 66th place is Linnzie Richner, carding an 88 for the day and a 247 for the tournament. Paige Bird carded an 83 for the day and finished with a 250 to place 67th. Abigail Carlsen led the team with three birdies on the day to finish with an 81 and place 74th.
Individually, Sarah Lewis carded an 81 on the day and tied for 48th place with a 238. Mackenzi Black tied for 69th with a 252, carding an 86 for the final round. Kennedy Brooker was 72nd with a 254 on the week and an 89 on the final day.
