Women's Golf Wraps Up Shirley Spork EMU Invitational

YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team wrapped up the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational in 10th place with a 36-hole score of 654.
Hosted by Eastern Michigan at the Eagle Crest Golf Course, the par-72 course was played at 6,176 yards. Bowling Green captured the tournament title with a two-day score of 592. Jessica Madry also of BGSU won the individual medalist honors with a 3-under-par 141.
Holly Anderson and Linnzie Richner tied for the team lead in 29th place with a 36-hole score of 159. Richner carded an 81 for the day with two birdies, while Anderson finished with an 83. Emma Schroeder led the Mastodons with three birdies on the round, including back-to-back on Nos. 2 and 3. Schroeder carded an 82 for the round to finish at 167 and tie for 55th place. Paige Bird tied for the team lead on the day with an 81 and finished in 58th place with a 169. Kennedy Brooker wrapped up the team scoring for the 'Dons with a 95 for the round and a 188 for the tournament, to finish in 61st.
Playing as an individual Abigail Carlsen finished tied for 55th with a 167, shooting an 86 during the final round.
