Women's Golf 13th After Day One of Spring Break Shootout

DADE CITY, Fla. - The Fort Wayne women's golf team sits in 13th place after two rounds on day one of the Spring Break Shootout with a team score of 314-323-637.
Co-hosted by Western Kentucky and Florida Gulf Coast at the Lake Jovita Golf Club, the par-72 course is being played at 6,239 yards. WKU leads the team standings by six shots after day one with a score of 590. Mary Joiner also of WKU carded a 2-under-par 142 for the day, putting her in the lead by four shots in the individual standings.
Leading the way for the Mastodons was Monica Dorner who tied in 48th place with scores of 77-81-158. Linnzie Richner tied for 53rd with rounds of 80 and 79, to finish the day at 159. One shot back for the 'Dons are Madison Chesnutt and Abigail Carlsen in a tie for 56th place. Chesnutt shot a pair of 80's, while Carlsen put up scored of 77 and 83. Rounding out the team score was Jenna Kurosky with and 82 and 84, tying her for 73rd with a 36-hole score of 166.
Playing as an individual, Paige Bird is tied for 62nd with a 161 by shooting a 76 and 85 for the day.
The final round of the Spring Break Shootout begins tomorrow, March 13, at 8:30 a.m.
