Mastodons Fourth After Day One of Gary Freeman Invitational

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Through day one of the Gary Freeman Spring Invitational, the Fort Wayne women's golf team sits in fourth place with a team score of 342.
Hosted by Bethune-Cookman at the LPGA International Hills Course, the par-72 course is being played at 6,124 yards. North Carolina A&T leads the team standings by four shots after day one with a score of 319. Sofia Alvarez also of N.C. A&T carded a 77 to hold the lead in individual standings by one stroke.
Leading the way for the Mastodons were Madison Chesnutt and Jenna Kurosky tied for the 16th spot with an 85. Abigail Carlsen and Linnzie Richner are right behind by one stroke, each tied for 19th place. Monica Dorner rounded out the team scoring by carding a 90 to place 26th for the day.
Playing as an individual, Paige Bird shot a 101 and is in 38th place.
