COLUMBUS, Ohio - After having his second round delayed due to weather yesterday, Fort Wayne men's golfer Zach Schroeder finished up his season with the final two rounds of the NCAA Columbus Regional Tournament Wednesday (May 16).

Schroeder finished round two with a 76 and concluded his week with an 85 to finish in a tie for 64th place with a 54-hole score of 236. He was the first Mastodon golfer to ever participate in an NCAA regional.

Hosted by Ohio State at the par-71 OSU Golf Club - Scarlet Course, the tournament yardage was 7,364. Top ranked Oklahoma State took the team title with an 844. Kyle Mueller of Michigan claimed the individual medalist honors with a 5-under-par 208.

Schroeder finished up his second round with a pair of birdies, before carding one final birdie for the tournament on his final 18 holes. His final birdie of the season came on the par-5, 575-yard No. 4. Schroeder finished his week with 27 pars and five birdies.

Schroeder concluded his junior campaign with a 74.43 stroke average, third lowest for a single season in program history.
