
Young Named Summit League Co-Player of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's basketball senior guard De'Jour Young earned her first career Summit League Player of the Week honor as announced by the league on Monday, January 28.
Young earns Player of the Week honors after leading the Mastodons to back-to-back wins over Omaha and Denver. For the week, she averaged 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals, all while shooting 68.2% from the field. Young kicked off the week scoring a career-high 25 points in a 56-48 win over the Mavericks. She pulled down six rebounds while shooting 10-of-15 (66.7%) from the floor. Young concluded the weekend with 14 points on 71.4% shooting, helping the 'Dons to a 70-55 win against Denver. Young and the Mastodons held the Pioneers to 26.2% shooting on the night, their lowest total in almost four years.
Purdue Fort Wayne returns to action Wednesday, January 30, when the Mastodons travel to Oral Roberts for an 8 p.m. ET tipoff.
