Jarred Godfrey Named Summit League Player of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Jarred Godfrey was named the Summit League Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday (Dec. 2).
Godfrey, a sophomore guard from Atlanta, Georgia, averaged 22.5 points on the week in wins over Niagara and Grand Canyon. Against Niagara on Wednesday, Godfrey recorded 17 points with three assists and three rebounds. On Saturday in a road win at Grand Canyon, he scored a career-high 28 points while adding four rebounds, two steals, two assists and two blocks.
On the year, Godfrey is averaging 15.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. The sophomore is shooting 51.8 from the floor. He has helped the Mastodons to three straight victories.
This is Godfrey's first career league honor.
The Mastodons host Eastern Illinois on Wednesday (Dec. 4) evening in a 7 p.m. start at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
