The Coyotes are 12-2, 1-0 Summit League, coming off a 96-65 drubbing of Western Illinois. 2019-20 Summit League Preseason Player of the Year Ciara Duffy is leading the Coyotes with 16.4 points per game. Hannah Albrecht had a career-high 30 points in the Mastodons' win over Evansville on December 13. She went 9 for 17 from the floor, 5 of 8 from deep, and 7 of 8 from the free throw line. The bucket-getter scored 19 in the second half, including the go-ahead basket, and seven of the 14-0 Mastodon run to close the gap with the Purple Aces.
What a Comeback!
Purdue Fort Wayne overcame a 14-point deficit on Friday, December 13 against Evansville. The 'Dons trailed by this amount with 6:39 to go in the third quarter, but after a technical foul was committed by Evansville shortly after that time, the 'Dons went on a 14-0 run. This gave the 'Dons and Purple Aces a tie score heading into the fourth quarter. This was the largest deficit to overcome to win for a Mastodons team since 2006, when the 'Dons came back from down 14 against Texas A&M Corpus Christi to win in overtime.

The Mastodons are third in the Summit League and 66th in the country in steals this season, nabbing 116 through 13 games. The 'Dons had 14 at SIUE, including four from both Shayla Sellers and Sh'Toya Sanders.
