FORT WAYNE, Ind. – On Wednesday (April 17) evening at the Walb International Ballroom, Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodon student-athletes and program contributors were celebrated during the annual Masty Awards. For the second time, student-athletes served as emcees for the event, with Paige Bird (women's golf) and Olivia Coleman (women's track and field) hosting the event.

The event provided recognition for the achievements – both athletically and academically – of Purdue Fort Wayne's sports teams during the 2018-19 academic year. The event also recognized each team's seniors. Awards presented include:

Male Athlete of the Year – John Konchar (men's basketball)
Female Athlete of the Year – Emma Rafuse (women's cross country/track & field)
Senior Male Athlete of the Year – John Konchar (men's basketball)
Senior Female Athlete of the Year – Emma Rafuse (women's cross country/track & field)
Freshman Male Athlete of the Year – Tor Erik Larsen (men's soccer)
Freshman Female Athlete of the Year – Kayla Wisniewski (women's soccer)
Fan of the Year – Gwen Zedrick
Volunteer of the Year – Phil Bastron
David R. Skelton Skelton Award – Lindsay Yankasky (women's soccer)
Ian and Mimi Rolland Award – Zach Schroeder (men's golf) and Emma Rafuse (women's cross country/track & field)
