Four Tied for Team Lead After Day One at Indiana State

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Four golfers are tied for the team lead, as the Purdue Fort Wayne women's team sits in eighth place after the first round of the ISU Spring Invitational with a team score of 310.
Hosted by Indiana State at the Country Club of Terre Haute, the par-72 course is being played at 6,004 yards. Youngstown State leads the team competition with a 3-under-par 285. Katlyn Shutt also of YSU holds a two-shot lead in the individual standings with a 3-under-par 69.
The Mastodons sit one shot back of Horizon League foe Green Bay, two back of Indiana State, and five back of fifth place Northern Iowa.
Holly Anderson, Sarah Lewis, and Linnzie Richner paced the Mastodon team scoring with rounds of 5-over-par 77. Two strokes back in a tie for 43rd is Abigail Carlsen. Kennedy Brooker rounded out the team scoring for the 'Dons with an 85, as she is tied for 69th place.
Playing as an individual, Paige Bird also tied for the team lead with a 77. Emma Schroeder is tied for 49th place after shooting an 80 for the day.
The final round of the ISU Spring Invitational begins tomorrow, April 8, at 9:30 a.m.
