Schroder and Anderson Finish Top-10 at Golden Grizzlies Invitational

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Emma Schroeder picked up her first-career top-10 finish at the Golden Grizzlies Invitational on Tuesday (Sept. 17). The sophomore shot a 76-77-153 for a third-place outing. The team finished fourth with a team score of 622, 36 strokes ahead of Horizon League foe Detroit Mercy.
Schroeder started her second round on the 18th, which she parred. She made the turn and knocked in a pair of birdie-fours on one and two. She finished her day five-over for her third-place finish.
Holly Anderson finished in a tie for seventh thanks to a birdie on her first hole of the day (18). She finished with a 75-80-155 after parring five of the last six holes.
Laura Caetano brought at 78-78-156 into the clubhouse for a tie for 11th overall. She birdied the par-five first and par-three 15th holes.
Linnzie Richner ended the tournament in a tie for 17th with a 77-81-158. She holed out 10 pars in her second round.
Finishing in 27th place overall, Kennedy Brooker shot 86-82-168. Brooker birdied three holes on the front nine: the par-five first, the par-three eighth, and the par-five ninth.
Sarah Lewis competed as an individual, finishing just one shot back of Brooker with a 81-88-169.
Central Michigan won the Invite with a 614 (+38). Oakland's Kay Zubkus was the medalist, bringing in a 148 (+4).
The Mastodons hit the course again on September 30 when they travel to the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
