Purdue Fort Wayne Announces 13th Annual Pink Out

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's basketball team will host Omaha on Saturday, February 22 at the Gates Sports Center as part of the 13th annual Pink Out event. All fans are encouraged to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness and honor survivors.
The 13th annual Pink Out event, sponsored by Luthern Health Network, will begin with a luncheon at noon in the International Ballroom, which is located in the Walb Student Union on the campus of Purdue Fort Wayne. Alyssa Ivanson from WANE-TV will emcee the luncheon that will honor breast cancer survivors. Breast cancer survivors who pre-register will receive free admission to the luncheon, the game, and will receive a free gift.
Luncheon tickets for the general public are available for $20 per person and includes admission to the game. Group ticket discounts are available, and a table for eight can be purchased for $140. $1 from every ticket sold will benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.
The women's basketball game between Purdue Fort Wayne and Omaha begins at 2 p.m., and will include an on-court ceremony to honor breast cancer survivors held during halftime. The Mastodons will be wearing their pink uniforms during the game.
