Purdue Fort Wayne WVB Set For Home Opener on Monday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - On Monday, Feburary 1, the Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball team will welcome Youngstown State to Arnie Ball Court for the Mastodons' home opener of the 2020-21 season.

Youngstown State was picked last in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, but the Penguins are 2-0 on the young season with wins over IUPUI. YSU beat the Jaguars 3-2 and 3-1, and the Penguins were led by Josi Borum, who recorded 30 kills. Youngstown State was 8-21 last season and only picked up two Horizon League wins.
The Series
Purdue Fort Wayne has never lost to Youngstown State in its three meetings with the Penguins. The two teams last met in 2017, which saw the Mastodons take a 3-1 win. Sydney Boerst had nine kills and three blocks in that match.

Katie Crowe recorded the 36th double-double of her career in the season opener at UIC. She had 15 kills and 14 digs in that contest.
