Purdue Fort Wayne Wraps Up Golden Grizzlies Invitational

ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team finished seventh at the Golden Grizzlies Invitational on Monday, September 27 behind a 315 on the second day at the Katke-Cousins Golf Course.
Laura Caetano led the Mastodons with a 79-75-154 to finish in 13th overall. The Brazil native carded a pair of birdies on the front nine: the 321-yard second and the 525-yard ninth. After making the turn, she dropped another birdie in on the 423-yard 10th.
Anna Olafsdottir turned in a 77-79-154 to take 21st place. She got a pair of twos in her final round, coming on hole three and six. Emma Schroeder had five straight pars on the front and dropped in a birdie on the 10th hole en route to an 83-79-162. She tied for 30th. Casey Bunner rounded out the team score with an 86-82-168. The graduate student had a birdie on 17, shooting a 1-over 37 on the back nine.
Taylor Norman carded an 84-90-174 as the final player shooting for the team score. Kennedy Brooker (81-83-164, T-33rd), Arny Dagdottir (85-84-169, T-43rd), Luiza Caetano (85-86-171, 46th) and Sarah Brenneman (94-83-177, 49th) competed as individuals.
Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan tied for the team crown, with CMU's Casilda Allendesalazar and Padgett Chitty tying for first individually with 146.
Purdue Fort Wayne will take the course again on October 11 in Port Clinton, Ohio for the Rocket Classic hosted by Toledo.
