KEWADIN, Mich. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team is in third place at the A-Ga-Ming Kickoff through 36 holes. The Mastodons shot a 622 as a team on Sunday, September 5.
The team's score of 302-320-622 is in the top 10 best in program history through 36 holes.
Individually, Anna Olafsdottir is in fifth after turning in a 75-79-154. Her 75 in round one tied her career-best.
Mastodon newcomer Casey Bunner also had a 75 to start the day. She had an 84 to total 159 to tie for 15th.
Kennedy Brooker showed consistency between her rounds with a 79-78-157, which put her in a tie for 12th. Emma Schroeder tied her with a score of 74-83-157. To start off her third season with Purdue Fort Wayne, Laura Caetano shot a 78-80-158 to finish day one in 14th.
Taylor Norman competed as an individual, firing a 79-82-161 in her first tournament as a Mastodon. She is in 17th.
Central Michigan is leading the field with a team score of 611. Oakland's Veronica Haque is in first individually with a 149.
The final round of the A-Ga-Ming Kickoff will tee off at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 6.
