Multiple School Records Set at Live in Lou Classic

LOUISVILLE – Multiple records fell for the Purdue Fort Wayne men's cross country team on Saturday (Oct. 1) at the Live in Lou Classic.
Husam Saleh set a new program record in the 8K for the Mastodons with a time of 24:58.4. The Fort Wayne native and Northrop High School graduate finished 31st overall.
The 'Dons averaged 25:16 as a team, the best ever for an 8K race in program history. The 'Dons finished fifth out of 45 teams with 276 points.
Of the 10 Mastodons in the race on Saturday, eight set personal records.
Jarred Neff was second for the 'Dons. He ran a time of 25:17.4 for 56th and a new personal record, third on the program's top 10 list.
Andrew Whitinger took 60th, just a few spots behind Neff, stopping the clock in 25:19.5.
Draven Thompson (25:22.6) and Nathan Mills (25:22.9) finished together in 64th and 65th place, respectively. Both were personal records and now rank fifth and sixth in program history in the 8K in the top performers list.
Nicholas Mills finished in 69th place (25:26.7), also a new personal record, and seventh on the top 10 list.
Kehinde Oladapo was in 126th (25:53.0). Austin Hall finished in 149th (26:02.6). Both set new PRs.
JT Hodges finished in 170th (26:11.9).
Harrison Niswander (26:16.4) rounded out the Mastodons in 182nd, also a PR.
