Arny Dagsdottir Shoots Team-Best 160 at Rocket Classic

PORT CLINTON, Ohio - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team shot 343-318-661 on Monday (Oct. 10) on the first day of the Rocket Classic.
Arny Dagsdottir shot a team-best 82-78-160 to tie for 22nd. She had birdies on holes seven and 12 in the morning round and hole five in the afternoon. Her second round featured 12 pars.
From the No. 4 spot, Adrienne Rohwedder shot 87-79-166. In her second round, she started the afternoon going par-birdie-birdie. She had an even back nine after starting on hole nine. She is in a tie for 37th.
Natalie Papa was a last-minute addition to the Mastodon top five, but she shot the third-best score on the team. She shot 82-86-168. She had a birdie on hole seven and seven pars on the back nine in round one. In round two, she parred seven holes, including five of her first seven. She is in 41st place.
Luiza Caetano shot 93-79-172 to occupy 47th place. In her second round, she birdied holes one and four to go with eight pars. Taylor Norman is in 50th place after a 92-82-174. Her afternoon was highlighted by eight pars on the back nine.
The Mastodons are ahead of Cleveland State after one round. CSU is the only other Horizon League program in the field.
The final round of the Rocket Classic will tee off on Tuesday morning (Oct. 11).
