'Dons Wrap Up Appearance at Rocket Classic

PORT CLINTON, Ohio - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team finished up its appearance at the Rocket Classic on Tuesday (Oct. 11), shooting a team score of 343-318-333-994.
Arny Dagsdottir finished as the team's leader after 54 holes of play, turning in an 82-78-83-994. In her last round of the week, she had eight pars on the back nine with just one bogey and three more pars on the front. She tied for 30th with her 243.
From the No. 5 spot, Luiza Caetano shot 93-79-80-252 to be the team's second-best. She tied for 43rd thanks to book-ending her last round with birdies. She birdied 11 to start and 10 to finish and had eight pars in between. Natalie Papa was one shot back of Caetano, shooting 82-86-85-253. She signed a scorecard with six pars and a birdie on hole seven. Adrienne Rohwedder was another shot back with an 87-79-88-254, turning in pars on seven holes, including five-straight on the back nine.
Taylor Norman rounded out the Mastodon lineup, recording a 92-82-85-259. She had 10 pars in her last round.
The Mastodons' score of 994 was good for 10th place. They finished ahead of Horizon League foe Cleveland State (1005). Rutgers (910) won the event with the top three individual finishers, highlighted by medalist Rikke Nordvik (222).
Purdue Fort Wayne will finish up its fall schedule next week (Oct. 18-19) at the Dayton Flyer Invitational.
