Purdue Fort Wayne WVB Travels North For Match at Milwaukee

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball team is back in action on Tuesday (Nov. 1) with a match at Milwaukee at 7 p.m. ET.

Milwaukee is 8-17, 7-7 in Horizon League action. Since playing the Mastodons in September, the Panthers are 6-7 and are riding a three-match losing streak. The Panthers fell at Youngstown State and to Northern Kentucky and Wright State. The Panthers are led by three hitters that average more than 2.00 kills per set. Ari Miller is averaging a team-best 3.17 kills per set from the middle.

Milwaukee leads the all-time series against the Mastodons 7-2, including six-straight wins. The Mastodons have not beaten the Panthers since 2010, before the two were Horizon League foes. The 'Dons won the first game in the series, which came in 1989 in Marquette, Michigan.

Ramei Jackson had one of the best individual performances in Mastodon history against Robert Morris on October 29. She had 19 kills while hitting a scorching .708. This was the third-highest hitting percentage of any Mastodon with at least 20 attempts in a match.
Pocket Aces (Plus Some!)
Nikki Jones had six aces in Purdue Fort Wayne's four-set win over Robert Morris on October 29. It was the fourth-most in program history in four-set matches. It is the most aces in a match since Katie Crowe had six against Youngstown State in February of 2021.
Reigning Player of the Week
Rachael Crucis was named one of the Horizon League Players of the Week on October 26. She led the Mastodons to a four-set win over IUPUI, recording 27 digs. She had the Horizon League's best 6.75 digs per set for the week. She helped hold IUPUI to .153 hitting for the match, including a .050 clip in the opening set.
That's a Lot of Digs!
The Mastodons had a season-high 91 digs in their match at Cleveland State (Oct. 14), recording 23 more than the Vikings in that contest.
Sidney Slammer
Sidney Schiller had 20 kills in the Mastodons' three-set match against Wright State. It was a career-high for Schiller in three-set matches. It was just two shy of her career-high in matches of any length.
Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne picked up a 3-1 win over Robert Morris on Saturday (Oct. 29) behind the arm of Ramei Jackson.
