Mastodon WVB Wraps Up 2022 With a Pair of League Matches and Senior Day

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball team will play a pair of Horizon League matches on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 11-12). They will celebrate Senior Day for Sidney Schiller, Madelyn Wurster, Alexandra Traciak and Rachael Crucis prior to Saturday's match.

The Mastodons will recognize four seniors prior to their match with Cleveland State on Saturday (Nov. 12): Sidney Schiller, Madelyn Wurster, Alexandra Traciak and Rachael Crucis.
Know Your Foes
• Oakland is 10-18 and 6-10 in the Horizon League and has lost six of its last seven. The Golden Grizzlies' only win in that stretch came against Robert Morris. Patti Cesarini is Oakland's best attacker, averaging 3.66 kills per set.
• Cleveland State is 11-16 and 8-8 in the league. The Vikings are 5-2 since losing to the Mastodons in five sets on October 14. Freshman Laken Voss is the number one option for the Vikings, averaging 3.38 kills per set.
Series Histories
• Oakland has one of the longest rivalries against Purdue Fort Wayne, playing 57 matches against the Mastodons. The 'Dons lead the series 34-23 and have not lost to Oakland more than twice in a row since moving to Division I in 2001. The 'Dons had a 14-match win streak from 1994 to 2010.
• Purdue Fort Wayne has a 6-2 edge over the Vikings in the series dating back to 2003. The Mastodons have won the last three.

Ramei Jackson had one of the best individual performances in Mastodon history against Robert Morris on October 29. She had 19 kills while hitting a scorching .708. This was the third-highest hitting percentage of any Mastodon with at least 20 attempts in a match.
Pocket Aces (Plus Some!)
Nicole Jones had six aces in Purdue Fort Wayne's four-set win over Robert Morris on October 29. It was the fourth-most in program history in four-set matches. It is the most aces in a match since Katie Crowe had six against Youngstown State in February of 2021.
