Sacred Heart Invitational Outing Highlighted by Arny Dagsdottir

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team's performance at the Sacred Heart Invitational on Saturday (March 12) was highlighted by sophomore Arny Dagsdottir's 75-80-155.
Dagsdottir started her day with a birdie on the 355-yard first, then turned in 10 more pars for the rest of the day. Her 155 was good enough to tie for 15th.
Fellow Iceland native Anna Olafsdottir recorded a 78-84-162 performance, turning in seven pars in her final round. She tied for 29th. Kennedy Brooker was one shot back with a 78-85-163, with eight pars on Saturday.
Laura Caetano found eight pars as well in her final round, as she finished with a 79-86-165 for 39th. Her sister Luiza Caetano shot 84-88-172 to take 60th.
Casey Bunner competed as an individual, shooting 80-83-163 to tie for 31st. She was the second-best among those playing as individuals.
The Mastodons shot 310-335-645 as a team to take seventh. The host squad of Sacred Heart shot 291-309-600 to take the team title, while Pioneer Chantal El Chaib won the individual medal with a 70-71-141.
Purdue Fort Wayne will be back in action in nine days, playing in the Nevel Meade Collegiate on March 21-22 in Prospect, Kentucky.
