Men’s Hoops to Play in College Basketball Invitational

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne has accepted an invitation to play in the 2022 Roman College Basketball Invitational.
The 14th CBI will take place March 19-23 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. The event is a single-elimination, fully-bracketed postseason tournament featuring 16 teams. Previous winners include Pepperdine, South Florida, North Texas, Wyoming, Nevada, Loyola Chicago, Siena, Santa Clara, Pittsburgh, Oregon, VCU, Oregon State and Tulsa.
The Mastodons will play Drake in the first round on Saturday, March 19. It will be a noon tip.
The first two rounds will stream on FloHoops. The semifinals and championship will air on ESPN2.
This will be the sixth postseason appearance in Mastodon program history. The 'Dons have four berths in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT) and one in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
The 2021-22 Mastodons reached 20 wins with a 21-11 mark. The 'Dons earned a share of the 2022 Horizon League Regular Season Championship.
