Mastodon WG Records Program Top-10 at Nevel Meade Collegiate

PROSPECT, Ky. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team recorded a 54-hole score of 943 on Tuesday (March 22) at the Nevel Meade Collegiate, which is in the program's top-10 in history.
Purdue Fort Wayne tied for eighth in the 15-team field with a team score of 943, topping Detroit Mercy (972) and Northern Kentucky (989).
Anna Olafsdottir led the Mastodons for the tournament, finishing with a 75-79-80-234. She tied for 17th after recording 11 pars in her final round of play.
Kennedy Brooker moved up the leaderboard on Tuesday, as she carded an 82-76-77-235. In her last round of the week, she turned in a birdie on the 428-yard 18th hole and the 480-yard seventh. She also had 10 pars to tie for 19th.
Arny Dagsdottir and Laura Caetano tied for 29th after Dagsdottir had her best round of the week. Dagsdottir shot an 81-79-77-237, recording 34 pars for the week, which was the second-most in the field. She also added a birdie on hole two to go with 11 pars in her final round. Caetano had 11 pars en route to her 82-75-80-237.
Taylor Norman rounded out the lineup, firing an 83-79-80-242 to tie for 48th. She had 13 pars in her final round.
Sarah Brenneman competed as an individual, shooting 92-93-85-270.
Host school Cleveland State won the tournament with a score of 918. Bellarmine's Josephine Bonin won the event with a 221.
Purdue Fort Wayne will play in the Jan Weaver Invitational on April 8-9. This is the last tournament for the Mastodons before the Horizon League Championship.
