Anna Olafsdottir Turns in Top-10 Performance at Benbow Invitational

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. - Anna Olafsdottir of the Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team notched the second top-10 finish of her career on Tuesday (March 8), as the sophomore from Iceland shot 73-79-152 to tie for seventh at the Benbow Invitational.
Olafsdottir's round had 10 pars to highlight her day. She finished the tournament with the second-most birdies in the field with five.
Shooting the Mastodons' best round of the day, Kennedy Brooker finished the tournament in a tie for 17th with a 78-78-156. She had 11 pars in her final round.
Laura Caetano and Arny Dagsdottir tied for 50th with a pair of 164s. Caetano had 12 pars in her round of 79, while Dagsdottir had two birdies and seven pars.
Luiza Caetano rounded out those competing for the team score with a 84-92-176. Casey Bunner competed for the team score, turning in a 97-82-179.
Host school Butler won the tournament with a 609 team score, led by medalist Ally Ross (140). The Mastodons recorded a 318-317-635 to take seventh in the 13-team field.
The Mastodons will stay in Florida for another tournament this week, playing at the Sacred Heart Invitational on Friday and Saturday (March 11-12), with tee times beginning at 7 a.m.
