Pair of Mastodons Honored by Psychology Department

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Two Purdue Fort Wayne student-athletes were honored by the psychology department this spring: men's soccer's Adam Chedi and softball's Jadelyn Johnson.
Chedi was the recipient of the Senior Excellence in Psychology Award. He is completing his honors thesis in psychology on the relationship between leadership styles and employee outcomes. Chedi is a member of the Student-Athlete Leadership Team, and was selected as the Horizon League's representative at the NCAA Leadership Forum last fall. Chedi owns a 3.91 GPA and was a member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll three times.
Johnson was selected as the recipient of the Outstanding Senior in Psychology Award. She maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA while completing two internships this semester while in softball season. She has been accepted into Purdue Fort Wayne's counseling graduate program and will pursue a career as a mental health counselor. Johnson was an Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete in 2021 and was a member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll last fall.
