Mastodons Wrap Up Jan Weaver Invitational

MURRAY, Ky. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team wrapped up its appearance at the Jan Weaver Invitational on Saturday (April 9).
The Mastodons took 10th at the tournament with a team score of 339-330-669. Samford won the event with a score of 614, led by Sophie Membrino, who was the individual medalist with a 151.
Arny Dagsdottir led the way for Purdue Fort Wayne, turning in an 82-81-163 to tie for 33rd. In her final round, she birdied the 140-yard 16th with a two. She had eight pars in her round on Saturday.
Kennedy Brooker and Laura Caetano tied for 55th with 171. Brooker had seven pars in her last round for an 84 while Caetano had 11 pars and a birdie on 17 for an even back nine. She turned in an 80 in her second round.
Anna Olafsdottir and Taylor Norman also tied, turning a pair of 174s for 59th. Norman carded an 85 on Saturday, which was highlighted by an eagle on the 455-yard 13th hole. This was the only eagle in the entire tournament. The two combined for 11 pars in the final round.
Casey Bunner competed as an individual, firing a 168 thanks to a final round of 77. She tied for 47th.
The Mastodons will take the course again on April 24-26 at the Horizon League Championship.
