Mastodons Open 2022 at Central Michigan Event

KEWADIN, Mich. – Anna Olafsdottir led the Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf squad on Sunday (Sept. 4) during the first day of the A-Ga-Ming Invitational, hosted by Central Michigan University.
Olafsdottir tied for 21st after day one, shooting a pair of 77s for 154. Arny Dagsdottir improved three strokes from round one to shoot 79-76-155. Laura Caetano turned in the Mastodons' best single round of the day, shooting 83-75-158. Taylor Norman and Luiza Caetano tied for 37th. Normal shot 83-82-165. Caetano totaled 80-85-165.
A pair of Mastodons made their Purdue Fort Wayne debuts as individual participants. Carthage transfer Adrienne Rohwedder carded 83-76-159 for 30th. Freshman Natalie Papa shot a pair of 81s for 162, good to tie for 34th.
The 'Dons own a 319-310-629 team score, holding sixth place. Host Central Michigan is the leader after day one. The event will conclude on Monday.
