FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Mastodons host their second meet in as many weeks with the Rumble in the Fort presented by the Three Rivers Running Company this Friday (Sept. 9).
Meet: Mastodon Opener
When: Friday, September 9 | 6:00 p.m. (women's 6K) | 6:45 p.m. (men 8K)

Men's Preview:
The 'Dons are coming off a second place finish in the Mastodon Opener last Friday. The 'Dons rewrote the programs' all-time 5K performers list with five new entries. Husam Saleh finished second overall in the event with a time of 15:39.0. Freshman Austin Hall was sixth, clocking a time of 15:53.5. After running a 5K last Friday, the 'Dons will extend to an 8K distance this Friday. A total of 15 Mastodons are entered.
Men's Entries: Husam Saleh, Austin Hall, Andrew Whitinger, Jarred Neff, Harrison Niswander, Kehinde Oladapo, Nathan Mills, Nicholas Mills, Seth Mills, Colin Gasson, Colten Gasson, Noah Wright, Kobe Milledge, Jack Mills and Weston Miser.
Women's Preview:
The women picked up a victory in the Mastodon Opener last week. Madison King started her 2022 season strong by winning the collegiate title. Brooke Neal was fifth (18:59.7). Freshman Riley Tate made her collegiate debut with a sixth-place time of 19:01.1. The 'Dons bested league rival IUPUI in the win. The Mastodons will move up to a 6K distance on Friday.
Women's Entries: Madison King, Brooke Neal, Riley Tate, Bella Hodges, Lydia Carrell, Ava Genovese, Mercedes Sarver, Kathy Potter, Hailey Whiteleather, Madeleine Wisniewski, Emma Collison, Brayden Langdon and Michaela Sheets.

The Mastodons travel to the John McNichols Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 17) hosted by Indiana State. It will be held at the same site as the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in November.
