Taya Haffner Records Double-Double at Wright State

DAYTON, Ohio - Wright State took a 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-16) win over the Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball team on Saturday (Oct. 14).
Taya Haffner recorded a double-double against the Raiders with 22 assists and 12 digs. Panna Ratkai was one dig short with 12 kills and nine digs. LonDynn Betts had 11 digs to anchor the back line.
Set one went to the Raiders thanks to a 7-1 run early on in the set. Wright State held the Mastodons to a match-low .057 while hitting .357 themselves.
The 'Dons slowed down the Raiders a bit in set two, holding them to .217. Ratkai had six of her match-high 12 kills in the second frame. WSU was up 18-11 before an 11-3 run by the 'Dons that featured three kills from both Ratkai and Ashby Willis.
The third set was all Wright State after a 10-10 start. The home team had a 9-1 push late.
Wright State's Callie Martin had 12 kills to match Ratkai. Jenny Wessling had a match-high 20 digs.
Wright State improves to 11-9, 7-2 in the Horizon League. Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 7-14 and 2-7 in the HL. The Mastodons will return home for a pair of matches next weekend against Milwaukee (Oct. 20) and Green Bay (Oct. 21).
