'Dons Take Fifth at Bright's Creek Women's Intercollegiate

MILL SPRING, N.C. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team took fifth at the Bright's Creek Women's Intercollegiate on Sunday (Feb. 26).
Arny Dagsdottir led the way with an 11th-place finish with a 79-80-82-241. Anna Olafsdottir was four strokes back to take 14th with a 83-80-82-245.
Laura Caetano took 21st with a two-day total of 85-83-83-251. Luiza Caetano was two spots back of her sister for 23rd after shooting 94-77-84-255. She moved up four spots in the standings in round three.
Natalie Papa rounded out the Mastodons' roster with an 87-83-90-260 to take 29th.
As a team, the Mastodons shot 334-320-331-985. Presbyterian won the event with a 946. Host Gardner-Webb's shot a 5-over 221 to earn medalist honors with a 4-under 68 in round three.
Purdue Fort Wayne is back in action on March 13-14 at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational in Orlando, Florida.
