Anna Olafsdottir Shoots Fourth-Best Round in Program History

YORKTOWN, Ind. - Anna Olafsdottir of the Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team shot the fourth-best round in program history on Tuesday (Sept. 19) in the final round of the Brittany Kelly Cardinal Classic. She shot a 71 with a 3-under 33 on the back nine.
After starting her round with a pair of bogeys, Olafsdottir was bogey-free the rest of the day. She rolled in three birdies on holes 12, 14 and 17 then finished her round with eight pars in a row.
As a team, the Mastodons shot 932, which is the sixth-best 54-hole team score in program history.
Olivia Jang finished in 25th place on Tuesday, shooting 77 in her final round. After an uneven start, she settled out and was 1-over in the last 14 holes. She got a birdie putt to go down on hole 12. Her 229 was the best of her young career.
Adrienne Rohwedder shot a 78 in round three, which came on the backs of three birdies and nine pars. She birdied holes one, 10 and 15 and had an eight-hole stretch without a bogey. She tied for 53rd overall.
Lillie Cone finished with a 79 in round three, turning in a pair of birdies on holes four and 14. The freshman also added 12 pars, including four a six-hole bogey-free stretch to start the back nine. She tied for 60th. Fellow freshman Hunar Mittal shot her best round of 78 in round three thanks to 12 pars and nothing worse than a bogey.
Natalie Papa played as an individual and shot 75 in round three to tie for 48th.
The Mastodons finished 11th in the 13-team field, topping Valparaiso and Western Illinois. The 'Dons are back in action on Monday, October 2 in Ypsilanti, Michigan at the Shirley Spork Invitational.
