'Dons Drop Saturday Match at Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE – Purdue Fort Wayne fell in three sets on Saturday (Sept. 23) night as Milwaukee won the Horizon League matchup 25-18, 25-9, 25-19.
Milwaukee took the first set 25-18. Abby Stratford hit two kills and added two blocks in her first set effort.
Ashby Willis and Jena Medearis had two kills each in the second set, but Milwaukee took control of the second set and won 25-9.
Panna Ratkai started the third set with three kills that put the 'Dons up 3-1. She'd finish the set with six kills and Willis added three more. But it wasn't enough to stop a strong Milwaukee attack as they took the third set by six points.
Taya Haffner led the 'Dons with 16 assists.
Ari Miller led the Panthers with 13 kills.
The 'Dons fall to 5-10 and 0-3 in Horizon League play. Milwaukee improves to 10-6 and 2-0 in the Horizon League. Purdue Fort Wayne travels to Cleveland State on Tuesday.
