Purdue Fort Wayne Women's Golf Finishes Fall Season at Braun Intercollegiate

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Fresh off a tournament victory, the Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf team will wrap up its fall season next week with a visit to Evansville on Monday-Tuesday (Oct. 21-22) for the Braun Intercollegiate.

About the Course
Oak Meadow Country Club, located on Evansville's north side, boasts a championship caliber 18-hole golf course in a country setting where members have an opportunity to play one of Indiana's finest courses. The facility also includes a practice range, practice putting green and a short game practice area. Oak Meadow Country Club is a traditionally designed par 72 golf course with tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers and fast, undulating and tilted greens. The many lakes at Oak Meadow come into play on 10 of the 18 holes. From the championship tees, the golf course is 6,827 yards with 4 additional sets of tees for men, seniors, women and junior golfers that allow players of all skill levels to enjoy the wonderful game of golf.

Olivia Jang, Lillian Gottman, Hunar Mittal, Lara Dommach and Natalie Papa will compete for the team score. Louise Ekesall will compete as an individual.
It's Always Trophy Season
Purdue Fort Wayne won the Red Flash Invitational on October 8, recording 13 birdies in the last nine holes to win by four. It was the Mastodons' third tournament victory in the 2024 calendar year and the fourth in program history.
Chasing History
Olivia Jang owns the best career scoring average in program history with 76.70 and ninth with four top-10s in her career. Hunar Mittal is third on the career list with a 78.26 average and is third with seven top-10 finishes in her career.
Last Time Out
The Mastodons won the Red Flash Invitational in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, storming back with 13 birdies in the final nine holes to beat Bucknell and Stonehill by four shots.
Coming Up
The Purdue Fort Wayne squad will have to wait until the calendar turns to 2025 before competition begins again. The 'Dons will be back in action on February 17 at the Islander Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas.
