Harrison Niswander Places 16th at the Joe Piane Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne men's cross country placed 13th at the Joe Piane Invitational on Friday (Oct. 4).
Harrison Niswander ran a personal best time of 24:35.5 to earn 16th. Another Mastodon finished with a personal best, Nicholas Mills placed 40th after running a 24:59.5. Austin Hall finished 50th (25:08.7). Sam Dunnett placed 90th (25:44.4). Nathan Mills filled out the Purdue Fort Wayne top-five with a time of 25:48.2, earning him 95th.
Kobe Milledge ran a time of 26:14.6 to placed 121st. Marcus Ridge finished 124th (26:20.7). Boden Genovese placed 140th (26:57.9)
Purdue Fort Wayne finished with 272 points, earning them 13th out of 18 teams. IU Indianapolis placed eighth (254) and Green Bay (Wis.) finished 11th (263). Milwaukee placed 15th (314) and Wright State finished 17th (353).
Purdue Fort Wayne finished ninth in the Men's Open. Colten Gasson ran a personal best 26:07.7 and was the first Mastodon to cross the finish line, he placed 83rd. Tyler Godwin finished 103rd (26:51.6). Colin Gasson tied his personal best (26:58.5) and placed 109th. Andrew Arnos finished 113th (27:21.2). Jack Mills filled out Purdue Fort Wayne's top-five with a personal bets time of 28:05.1 and a 123rd place finish. Josh Roper placed 127th (29:06.3).
Purdue Fort Wayne finished ninth with 235 points. Horizon League opponent Wright State placed seventh with 208 points. Notre Dame earned first (27), Northern Arizona scored second (28), Michigan State finished third (68), Grand Valley St. placed fourth (89), St. Thomas (Minn.) finished fifth (144), Western Ontario placed sixth (178) and Windsor finished eighth (228).
