Nicholas Mills selected to Valeo Academic All-League Team

INDIANAPOLIS - Purdue Fort Wayne men's cross country student-athlete Nicholas Mills was named to the Horizon League's Valeo All-Academic Team on Thursday (Nov. 21).
Mills (Columbia City, Ind. / Columbia City HS) is a six-time Horizon League Academic Honor Roll student, has been named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Track & Field/Cross Country Team, 2022 Horizon League Cross Country All-Academic Team and was a 2021 Horizon League Cross Country All-Academic Honorable Mention Team pick. He sits in sixth place in the program's history for best 10K finishes, completing the NCAA Divison I Great Lakes Region Cross Country Championships with a time of 32:11:7. Mills held a perfect 4.00 GPA as an undergrad in the accounting program.
To be eligible for Horizon League All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale), have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits, and participate in 50 percent of the team's overall contests.
