
Mastodon Women’s Golf Wins Indiana State Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Mastodon women's golf team won their second consecutive tournament with a first-place finish at the Indiana State Invitational on Monday (April 8).
Purdue Fort Wayne shot 296 on Monday following a 304 on Sunday to finish with a total score of 600. It was good enough to top Evansville by three strokes. The 'Dons entered Monday three strokes behind Evansville.
Olivia Jang led the 'Dons with 76-70-146 to take second in the field of 34 golfers. Jang's 70 on Monday was the best round of the event. She had six birdies on Monday, including four on the back nine.
Adrienne Rohwedder and Anna Olafsdottir both tied for sixth with 151. Rohwedder shot 73 on Monday with four birdies after firing a 78 on Sunday. Olafsdottir shot 75-76 with 10 pars on Monday.
Hunar Mittal earned a top 10 finish by taking ninth, 75-77-152.
Natalie Papa tied for 15th, 79-77-156. Lillie Cone played as an individual, shooting 83-81-164.
This is the second consecutive win for the 'Dons after winning The Julie last time out.
