Women’s Volleyball Drops Road Contest at First-Place NKU

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky topped Purdue Fort Wayne 25-12, 25-19, 25-17 in Horizon League women's volleyball action on Saturday (Oct. 25) afternoon.
Riley Rosneck led the Mastodons with 14 kills on a .237 attack percentage. She also added eight digs. Becky Barrett averaged better than five digs a set with 18.
The closet set was the second, which saw the 'Dons grab a 12-10 lead. A kill by Avery Parris gave the 'Dons a two-point lead in the frame but NKU rallied from there.
The first-place Norse out-hit the Mastodons .407 to .189. Allison Risley led the Norse with 16 kills. The Norse improve to 14-8 (10-1 Horizon League). The 'Dons fall to 3-19 (1-10 Horizon League).
Purdue Fort Wayne returns home on Tuesday (Oct. 28) to face IU Indy in a 7 p.m. start. Kids 12 years old and younger in costume receive free admission to the match. Arrive early for Track or Treat inside the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse hosted by Mastodon SALT.
