
Purdue Fort Wayne Falls to Youngstown State

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball team fell to Youngstown State 25-16, 25-14, 25-13 on Thursday night (Nov. 13).
Youngstown State had a 4-1 run to go up 16-10 in set one, then had a 5-0 push late to solidify the set. The second set was similarly close until the 13-11 mark, but YSU rattled off 12 of the next 16 points to take the set. In the third, the 'Dons and Penguins were tied at seven before YSU put together a 7-1 run to take control.
Mya Plemons, Trinity Rye and Miona Dimitric all had five kills each for the Mastodons. Abbie Householder had 20 kills to pace the Penguins. Riley Rosneck had a match-high 16 digs.
The Mastodons fell to 3-25, 1-16 in the Horizon League. Youngstown State moved to 15-13, 10-7. These two teams will clash again on Friday (Nov. 14) in the regular season finale.
