
Four Mastodons Earn CSC Volleyball Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Four Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball student-athletes earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, CSC announced on Tuesday (Dec. 16). Jena Medearis, Riley Rosneck, Mya Plemons and Becky Barrett received the honor.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Members of the All-District Team must meet a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have played in 90 percent or started 67 percent of team games in the current season.
Medearis owns a 3.54 GPA and is completing a degree in general studies. Medearis has been named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll three times.. Medearis played in 26 matches in her senior season. She registered a season-high of 12 kills against Mercyhurst and a season-high of seven blocks at Milwaukee. She collected 156 kills and 62 blocks in her last year in Fort Wayne.
Rosneck has a 3.82 GPA and is majoring in social sciences. Rosneck was also named to the Horizon League Academic All-League Team and All-Horizon League Second Team. She played in all 29 matches this season after appearing in 31 matches in her freshman season. She recorded double-digit kills in 20 matches and had 20 or more kills in seven matches. She tallied a season-high 25 kills against Green Bay. She finished her sophomore season with a total of 408 kills.
Plemons owns a 4.0 GPA and is pursuing a degree in business. She was also named to the Horizon League Academic All-League. Plemons had a season-long hitting percentage of .365, which is the fourth-best in program history and best in the rally scoring era. She had 10 kills and 10 blocks in the season opener against Middle Tennessee and registered a season-high 15 kills at Butler. She accumulated 197 kills and 107 blocks over the course of her sophomore season.
Barrett has a 3.99 GPA in the pursuit of a degree in education. Barrett was also named CSC Academic All-District in 2024. Barrett was also recently named Horizon League Academic All-League. Barrett played in all 29 matches this season. She had 20 or more digs in 11 matches. She recorded a career-high of 31 digs against Cleveland State and Wright State. She had a double-double of 18 digs and 10 assists against Mercyhurst. She recorded 494 digs and 100 assists throughout her junior season.
