ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - After the first day of the World Golf Village Collegiate, the Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team is in third place on the leaderboard, ahead of all three Horizon League schools in attendance.
With the second round of the day cut short just a few holes before the conclusion, the Mastodons are eight shots ahead of Oakland, nine ahead of IU Indy and 21 ahead of Youngstown State. Oakland was picked ahead of the Mastodons in the Horizon League Preseason Poll.
North Florida is leading the pack at even par, but the Mastodons' +28 puts them in strong contention for second, as Bellarmine holds that spot at +25.
