INDIANAPOLIS – Purdue Fort Wayne men's basketball student-athletes Jalen Jackson and Rasheed Bello were named to the Horizon League's 2025 All-Academic Team, the league announced on Wednesday (Feb. 26).
In the classroom, Jackson owns a 3.59 GPA. He leads the Horizon League in scoring with 19.2 points per game. He owns a pair of Horizon League Player of the Week honors this year. The junior from Fort Wayne was named Mid-Season Lou Henson Player of the Year by CollegeInsider.com as the best mid-major player in the nation.
Bello, a senior from Chicago, Illinois, has a 3.53 GPA, leads the league and ranks 24th in the nation in free throw percentage at 89.0 percent. Bello earned the Horizon League Player of the Week award twice this season. He had a season-high 31 points vs. Bethune-Cookman and 12 assists at Green Bay. Bello, like Jackson, owns better than 1,000 points as a Mastodon in less than two full seasons in Fort Wayne.
