Men's Golf Shoots Best Round of the Championship in Round Three

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team played its best golf of the weekend in the final round of the Horizon League Championship, shooting a 296 on Monday (April 21).
Cody Coleman had the best round for the Mastodons in round three shooting 82-76-72-230. He birdied his second hole of the day, the 406-yard 11th. He followed that up with a stretch of six holes of par or better. He birdied 15, the 138-yard 15th. On the front, he birdied three and six, then bogeyed eight to move to even for the round. He tied for 26th place in his first Horizon League Championship.
AJ Agnew had his score of 73 taken as the second-best for the 'Dons. He had five pars and a birdie on the back nine to start, including the 18th, which required a well-placed tee shot over the water. On the front, Agnew birdied one, three, six and nine for a 2-under side. He finished the weekend with an 83-80-73-236 for 39th place.
Brock Reschly finished 14th with a three-day total of 73-78-74-225. He had a very clean round with 14 pars and a birdie. He parred his first eight, including the tough 17th. The sophomore played his second shot out of the fairway bunker perfectly and was able to get on the green in regulation and two-putt for par. He finished his day with a birdie on nine.
Nick Holder shot 85-76-77-238, which was good for 43rd place. On Monday, he parred 11 holes with birdies on two and four. He had his score taken for third round.
Nick Bellush shot 80-77-81-238 thanks to a 1-under back nine. He birdied 12, a 201-yard par-3, then wrapped up the side with back-to-back birdies on 17 and 18. He tied for 43rd with Holder in his first Horizon League Championship appearance.
In their last event of the season, the Mastodons shot 318-307-296-921. They took ninth place.
