'Dons Finish Fourth in Rumble In The Fort

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's cross country program hosted the Rumble In The Fort on Saturday morning (Sept. 20), which the Mastodons placed fourth in.
Riley Tate led the 'Dons for the second meet in a row, crossing the finish line in sixth (21:39.2). Ava Genovese was the next Purdue Fort Wayne runner to complete the Mastodon Cross Country Course, finishing in 22:07.3 for 12th. Haylee Hile earned 19th (22:29.3) and Lydia Carrell placed 30th (22:54.3). Faith Norris rounded out the Mastodons' first-five finishers in 38th (23:15.2).
Four Purdue Fort Wayne runners clocked their first 6k times as Mastodons. Violet Francisco earned 59th (24:03.0), Ava Milligan placed 69th (24:33.6), Nori Silva finished 80th (25:25.8) and Izzy Snyder ran the course in 26:46.6 for 87th.
Faith Allen earned 45th (23:33.0) at the meet and Amanda Williams placed 65th (24:22.7).
Purdue Fort Wayne earned 104 points from their top-five finishers, placing fourth in the team standings. Trine won the meet (37) and Butler took second (43). Milwaukee (101) was the only Horizon League opponent to top the Mastodons.
The Mastodons will travel to Notre Dame on October 3rd for the Joe Piane Invitational.
