INDIANAPOLIS - For the second time this season, Purdue Fort Wayne outside hitter Riley Rosneck was named one of the Horizon League's volleyball Players of the Week on Monday (Oct. 5).
The junior pin led the league with 5.00 kills per set this week while leading the Mastodons to a 2-0 weekend at Robert Morris. She had 25 kills in back-to-back matches against the Colonials, both five-set wins. She hit over .300 in both matches. She is the only player to reach the 25-kill mark in a league match this season, and she has done so twice.
While pacing the Mastodons offensively, Rosneck also added 2.10 digs and 0.60 blocks per set.
This is Rosneck's second Player of the Week award of the season. She earned the first award on August 31. The Mastodons have the most Player of the Week awards in the league, as Mya Plemons also picked up the honor on September 28.
Rosneck and the Mastodons will take the Arnie Ball Court on Friday and Saturday this weekend (Oct. 9-10) for a pair of matches against Youngstown State.
