Strong Performance
Freshman Andrew Strong set a new Purdue Fort Wayne 4K program record at the Mastodon Alumni Open on Saturday (Sept. 5). Strong was the first Mastodon to cross the finish line, taking fourth with a time of 15:38.3.

Last Time Out (Men)
The Purdue Fort Wayne men's cross country team opened the season with a second-place finish with 29 points at the Mastodon Alumni Open on Saturday. Andrew Strong led with a fourth place finish. Jack Strong followed with a new personal-best time of 15:41.3 to finish fifth. Bryan Garcia and Austin Hall were the next two Mastodons to cross the finish line. Garcia completed his first collegiate race in seventh (15:53.8), while Hall followed in eighth with a time of 15:57.7. Riley Lembke finished his first collegiate meet in 10th place with a time of 16:11.1. Fellow freshmen Aidan Green (23rd, 16:43.6) and Donovan Ryan (35th, 17:19.3) also completed their first collegiate races as Mastodons.

Last Time Out (Women)
The Purdue Fort Wayne women's cross country team took first at the Mastodon Alumni Open on Saturday (Sept. 5) with 25 points. Faith Allen was the first Mastodon to cross the finish line, placing second overall and first among collegiate runners with a time of 18:50.4. Haylee Hile and Amanda Williams were next to cross the finish line for Purdue Fort Wayne. Hile finished sixth at 19:12.6, while Williams placed seventh at 19:27.8. Freshmen Kendall Hoeffel and Isabella Rodgers rounded out the Mastodons' top five finishers, placing ninth (19:37.1) and 10th (19:40.5).

Preseason Poll
The Purdue Fort Wayne women's team placed third in the 2026 Horizon League Preseason Poll.

Women's Season Preview
The Mastodons recorded 74 points for second place at the 2025 #HLXC Championship. The Mastodons return two of their top-five finishers, Haylee Hile and Faith Allen.

Men's Season Preview
