FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne cross country programs open the 2026 season at home, hosting the Mastodon Alumni Open on Saturday (Sept. 5) at the Mastodon Cross Country Course. Parking for the Mastodon Alumni Open will cost $5 per vehicle and can be purchased at this link.

Saturday will not only mark freshman Ava Beaty's first collegiate race, but also the first time her and her dad, Chad Beaty, will race competitively at the same meet.

Women's Preview
The Mastodons recorded 74 points for second place at the 2025 #HLXC Championship. The Mastodons return two of their top-five finishers, Haylee Hile and Faith Allen.

Men's Preview
The Mastodons placed ninth at the 2025 #HLXC Championships. The 'Dons return their top-two finishers from last season, Jack Strong and Boden Genovese.

Preseason Poll
The Purdue Fort Wayne women's team placed third in the 2026 Horizon League Preseason Poll.

Welcome to the League
The women's team features nine freshmen competing in their first collegiate event on Saturday: Ava Beaty, Kingsley Brown, Katelyn Frazier, Kendall Hoeffel, Cali Kent, Isabelle Rodgers, Ashley Schraeder, Camryn Simons and Nicolette Stickney. The men will have six new faces competing on Saturday: Bryan Garcia, Aidan Green, Riley Lembke, Landon Miller, Donovan Ryan and Andrew Strong.
