2008-09 Season
Started all 30 games for IPFW in the 2008-09 campaign. Was one of the deadliest 3-point shooters in The Summit League. He hit 47.4% of his attempts from behind the arc (45-95) which ranked him second in the league. Averaged 8.4 points a game while pulling down 2.7 rebounds a contest. Overall, shot 45.3% from the field.
Daniels scored a season-high 17 points against Oakland on Jan. 17. Also hit for 16 points twice during the season (Jan. 29 at South Dakota State and Feb. 26 vs. UMKC). Made a season-high seven field goals in his 17 point performance vs. Oakland. Knocked down a season-high four 3-pointers in IPFW[apos]s win at North Florida on Dec. 28. In that contest he was a perfect 4-4 from behind the arc. Daniels pulled down a season-high seven rebounds at UMKC on Dec. 6. He handed out a season-high five assists on three occasions (Nov. 22 vs. Eastern Illinois, Dec. 1 vs. Ball State and Dec. 13 at Marquette. Registered a season-high two steals vs. IU-East on Nov. 25.
Before Coming to IPFW
Daniels comes to IPFW from Highland Community College in Freeport, Illinois. He was part of a team that went a combined 48-19 over a two seasons. The Cougars were nationally ranked both years.
During the 2006-07 season, Highland Community College advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament. They were ranked No. 1 in the Region IV and caputured the Region IV Championship. In 2007-08, they repeated as Region IV NJCAA Champions with a record of 28-5. They finished the Arrowhead Conference season undefeated.
Daniels played his high school ball at Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois. With the Warriors of head coach Steve Weemer, he was chosen First Team All-Upstate Eight, Daily Herald All-City, Naperville Sun All-City, Beacon News All-City, and All-Illinois State Honorable Mention.
Personal
Nick is the son of Michelle Jeffries. He has two brothers, Chris and Josh. He is a General Studies major at IPFW.
